Tegan and Sara on "What does love mean to you?"
- Sara: When we were little, Tegan fucked up something with my grandma. My mom was pissed off and my mom and dad sat down with us at the dinner table and they told Tegan that they were gonna take her Blanky away from her as punishment and she started flipping out and she was like "NO YOU CAN'T TAKE BLANKY AWAY FROM ME" and apparently-- Maybe it was the other-- Reverse, it would've been me crying and Tegan-- whatever. But one of us interjected and was like "Too far. You can't take Blanky away."
- Sara: But the truth is this: I was four years old. I didn't just know love--
- Tegan: Well, definitely it was you because if it was me I would've gone, got scissors, cut my Blanky in half and given half to you.
- Sara: Here's the thing: Not only did I love my Blanky, but I understood love so deeply that I understood Tegan's love of Blanky that I couldn't bear the thought that she would be torn away from this thing.
